Having said that, many of my friends who skied them (non PMTS skiers who are used to heavily rockered skis and ski them all the time) absolutely loved them I don't find that surprising, because as I said they are really well made, with a race bred construction

I had given up trying to further tune my alignment (not just fore-aft) on the left for the 2 years before surgery This was because, the limited internal rotation and flexion were clearly affecting movements on that side (I was skiing in a few PMTS camps with Harald when my first hip was deteriorating and Harald felt the same way)

The PMTS approach develops more leg bending to achieve more angle at the end of turns, is not only good skiing, but to PMTS skiers it’s “the system“, as we don‘t initiate leg twisting, rotary or steering to redirection the skis Opposite of what the PSIA approach focuses on

If you ski on rockies snow (Colorado, MT, Wyoming) 7 is great If you ski on wetter snow like in Tahoe or the PNW you need 1 degree Also intermediate skiers do better with a little more bevel as 5 can be a little grabby for those that aren't used to it If you are not an advanced PMTS skier err on the side of more base bevel vs less

PMTS is the only system that I'm aware of that actually gets the science right <Edit>It appears that David McPhail is the blog author If that is the case, we don't consider his theories to be credible < Edit>

So let's not let this digress into a pissing match I've drunk the kool-aid - I understand and believe in the PMTS way (and I've taken lessons with Harald and done an alignment session with Chris) My current skiing abilities also have nothing to do whatsoever with whether or not the 3-piece design is rotary or not

Lastly, its probably a better ski for the more advanced PMTS skier I find them to have a great combo of very high performance and an appropriate level of forgiveness By no means is it the most forgiving 94 waisted ski out there and its less forgiving than the old Head RNR's but the performance band is real high
