  • Newbie Trying to Record Guitar - Ableton Forum
At this point you need a plugin It will simulate the guitar amp, guitar speaker cabinet, and microphone placed in front of the speaker cabinet All 3 of these virtual digital components are needed in order to get a good sound It’s actually more like 2 components, amp and cab mic, because the cab mic are lumped together in plugins
  • Getting a good guitar sound - Ableton Forum
not sure what your budget is like, but there are plenty of decent affordable options for guitar amp sims one option that won’t break the bank is Kuassa—highly regarded, and very affordable, especially if you have a favored tone you’re going for, and don’t need a ton of different amp models they may have a sale going on right now, too (not totally sure)
  • Guitar + vocal recording at the same time? - Ableton Forum
If so, you'll want a mic for the vocal and a mic for the guitar You'll also need a recording interface that can capture 2 inputs at once, like a PreSonus Firebox Then you just create two audio tracks in Live, arm them both, and record Or you could save some money and record the guitar by itself and then create a new track and record the vocal
  • Using a Rocksmith guitar lead to record guitar to Ableton
Re: Using a Rocksmith guitar lead to record guitar to Ableton Post by jestermgee » Tue May 05, 2020 10:19 am Kind of hard to know if your cable is an issue when you don't detail anything about your cable, audio interface, budget for alternatives etc Need something to work with to offer any kind of answer
  • Recording electric guitar into live - Ableton Forum
Apogee Jam and Amplitube 3 Free would give you a pretty cheap and quite nice guitar recording setup You'll definitely need a dedicated interface, and don't go for a dirt cheap one like a Behringer or something because it'll sound bad, be unreliable and generally make you stressed out (poison to any creative process)
  • Record Bass Guitar with good sound - Ableton Forum
Re: Record Bass Guitar with good sound Post by jonljacobi » Wed Feb 26, 2020 11:12 pm Generally to clean the bass and kick up, you notch filter them at slightly different frequencies so they can live happily with each other
  • Timing problems recording guitars - Ableton Forum
Go to Arrangement view Put whatever tracks you wish to play along with while you record guitar at the absolute beginning of the timeline (1 1 1) Record arm your guitar track, make sure global record is armed and make sure that you're set to start recording at the appropriate place- the absolute beginning in this case
  • Playing Electric Guitar through Monitors - Ableton Forum
Hello, I'm wanting to play my electric guitar through my studio monitors and direct record into Ableton I can play and get a clean signal from the guitar coming through the monitors and record it, but i can't hear the effects of any amps or reverbs etc when playing live, I can only hear the effects when i put the guitar down playback
  • BASS GUITAR recording techniques-how are you doing it . . . - Ableton Forum
Hello, when I record my bass I simply plug it directly into the interface, going through a pre-amp though My interface has inputs with a pre-amp (m-audio fw 410) but I find the sound is better with my Mackie 1402-VLZ so I plug the bass on a track of the mixer, and get the L R outputs of the mixer into line 1 2 of the interface
  • How do you record electric guitar into Ableton? - Ableton Forum
Does anybody know how to record guitar like this? What seems to be happening when I just plug in is it still hears me with the laptop's microphone even though my guitar is plugged into the mic port, such that what I end up recording is an unprocessed unamped electric guitar It's not exactly what I was going for so far
